For our community, The Wood Brothers aren’t just another artist on the lineup. Their appearances over the years have delivered some of the most heartfelt, groove-driven, and quietly powerful sets in All Good history.
Dubbed “masters of soulful folk” by Paste, the band formed after brothers Chris and Oliver Wood spent 15 years on separate musical paths — Chris earning devoted acclaim as one-third of Medeski Martin & Wood, and Oliver building a loyal following with King Johnson.
With drummer Jano Rix joining as a permanent third member, the group has evolved into one of roots music’s most revered acts — blending blues, folk, gospel, and improvisation into a sound entirely their own. | | | | | A Lasting All Good Connection | The Wood Brothers first joined us at the All Good Music Festival in 2008, returning again in 2012 with performances that highlighted their deep musical connection and understated intensity.
They’ve remained an essential part of the extended All Good Trifesta family, including a memorable appearance at the 4848 Festival in 2022.
Across the years, their performances have embodied the authentic, grounded spirit that defines the All Good experience — and within the Trifesta, that spirit only continues to grow. | |
