You may return your 4Knines cover for any reason within the first 30 days for a full refund. For orders placed between November 1 and December 31, the return window is extended until January 31.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Print-on-demand items cannot be returned for a refund or exchange, and print-on-demand products returns and exchanges are not supported if you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply changed your mind. For international orders, due to the complexities of international shipping and duty, all sales are final.

You can select from available return options including refund, exchange, or store credit. Refunds are processed back to the original form of payment after the returned item is received and processed.
Who pays for return shipping?
If you purchased "free returns & exchanges protection" when placing your original order, the system will generate a prepaid return shipping label. If you did not purchase "free returns & exchanges protection," you will be responsible for the return shipping cost at a discounted rate.
What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
If you receive a defective print-on-demand item or damaged product, they will send a free replacement for the exact item within 30 days of purchase or offer a free replacement or refund if you contact them within 30 days of product delivery.
Editor's Take
So here's the thing about 4Knines-they're basically the company that figured out what every dog owner secretly wishes existed. You know that moment when you're about to take your pup somewhere and you're staring at your car seats thinking, "This is going to be a disaster"? Yeah, that's exactly where Jim and Maggie found themselves back in 2013.
Their Dobermans, Ares and Ana, had basically turned car seat destruction into an art form. And honestly, if you've ever owned a big dog, you know the struggle. These dogs had destroyed yet another dog seat cover, and the founders were tired of options that couldn't handle fur, nails, and mud from their adventures. So instead of just accepting that car interiors and dogs don't mix, they decided to create something that actually works.
What's kind of brilliant about their approach is how they've stayed connected to the problem they're solving. They use their own products daily when taking their Doberman, Kiera, to the park, on road trips, and wherever life takes us. That's not just marketing speak-it's the kind of real-world testing that makes the difference between a product that looks good on paper and one that actually survives a muddy golden retriever after a hike.
The numbers tell a pretty compelling story too. After years of testing and listening to customers, they've improved their covers over 11 times. And get this-4Knines now has over 20 product patents, and all originated out of customer requests. That's not your typical "build it and they will come" approach. They're literally letting their customers drive product development.
But here's what really sets them apart in a world of automated customer service and chatbots: people can call 4Knines to speak with a live person. In 2025, that's almost revolutionary. Working in sales and retail, founder Jim observed firsthand how providing the best customer service was a differentiator, noting that customer service has degraded over time and become a lost art.
Their product line has expanded way beyond just seat covers now. From car seat covers to cargo liners, every product is designed with your pet's comfort and your convenience in mind. They've got everything from dog car barriers to slip leashes, and even dog poop bags made from recycled materials. It's like they've thought through every single pain point of traveling with dogs.
And there's something genuinely heartwarming about their mission beyond just selling stuff. They partner with pet charities and organizations that support animals in need. They donate returned items and a percentage of each sale to animal advocacy groups. When a company puts their money where their mouth is like that, it usually means they're in it for the right reasons.
The whole operation is pretty lean but smart about it. The team works in-house at headquarters in Oklahoma City, with additional remote members on the East and West Coasts providing support to cover all time zones. It's the kind of setup that lets them stay nimble while still providing that personal touch they're known for.
