I am Horacio Alvarez, an original co-founder of Adelante. Today, I am writing to personally introduce myself as the new leader of the Adelante Made-To-Order brand — a role my family and I assume with immense pride and a deep sense of responsibility.
We are embracing this new chapter with a singular focus: a full commitment to meeting the quality and delivery expectations you deserve, while remaining true to Adelante's Cobbler-To-Customer ethos.
To this end, I make the following commitments to you:
1. Adelante Quality — All Adelante products will be Made-To-Order just for you and exquisitely handcrafted here in Pastores, Guatemala.
2. Six Week Delivery — Effective April 1st, 2026, all orders will be delivered direct to your door within six weeks of purchase.
3. Direct Human Impact — As the owner of Adelante, I personally guarantee that the proceeds from each and every purchase go directly to our work community, supporting the Living Well wages of dozens of craftspeople and their families.
To ensure we meet these commitments, I will be implementing a monthly quota of Adelante pairs available for purchase in any given month. By capping volume, we ensure our master cobblers have the time to craft every pair to perfection and still deliver on time.
Starting April 1st, 2026, we will announce the opening of these monthly quotas exclusively via email.
I know that as an Adelante supporter, you experienced the highs and lows of the last few years alongside me. Now, I ask for the opportunity to earn your continued trust as we return to our roots of quality and connection.
