Returns

What is the return window?
You may return items within 30 days of receiving the order if you are not satisfied with your purchase.

Who pays for return shipping?
Albany Park charges a return shipping fee equal to 10% of what you paid for the product if the original packaging is intact. If you provide your own packaging, the fee is 20% of the paid value and capped at $200.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Items damaged through normal wear and tear cannot be returned. The warranty isn't transferable and can't be extended to cover a re-sold item.

How will I receive my refund?
After your returned product is received, Albany Park will examine and inspect it to determine if it's in "like new" condition, then credit your original payment method for the product.

What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
In the event that an item arrives defective or damaged, please let them know immediately upon receipt and they will make it right. If you notice damage upon delivery, refuse the item from the shipping company and contact them, or take photos and send them within 24 hours of delivery.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Albany Park-they've basically cracked the code on what everyone's been complaining about with furniture shopping for years. You know that whole nightmare of wandering through massive showrooms, getting pressured by salespeople, then waiting months for delivery? Yeah, they said "nope" to all of that.

Founded in 2017 by Darryl and Jessica Sharpton (he's a former NFL linebacker, which explains why he can probably move furniture boxes without breaking a sweat), the company started because they got fed up with the traditional furniture buying experience. They were overwhelmed by endless options and then disappointed by weeks-long delivery delays. Sound familiar?

What makes Albany Park different is their "less is more" philosophy. Instead of offering hundreds of confusing options, they focus on just five main sofa styles: the Albany, the Park, the Kova, the Barton, and the Lido. Each comes as a loveseat, sectional, or armchair, with matching ottomans available. It's like the capsule wardrobe approach, but for your living room.

The Kova collection has basically taken over social media. The Albany Park Kova sofa has gone viral on social media for its pillow cushions and ease of assembly, with dozens of TikTok videos showing creators putting the couch together with ease before flopping onto the finished product. And honestly? The hype seems justified.

Here's what's genuinely impressive: assembly literally takes just 15 minutes (or less), with some reviewers managing it in under 20 minutes with a partner. The furniture comes in space-conscious boxes that can easily maneuver through stairwells and hallways-a game-changer if you've ever tried getting a traditional sofa up narrow apartment stairs.

But the real kicker? Their lifetime warranty is apparently "the strongest and longest in the business" (they've checked). For the first 10 years, they'll replace defective furniture with brand new pieces at no charge. After year 10, they'll repair, re-cover, or replace it, covering all transportation costs. That's the kind of confidence that makes you pay attention.

The company has shipped more than 44,000 orders and reported over $100 million in sales in 2022. Not bad for a company that started because two people got annoyed at a furniture showroom.

The pricing strategy is smart too-their quality pieces cost about half the price of competitors because their streamlined model creates cost savings that benefit shoppers directly. Plus they work with Affirm for payment plans, because let's be real, good furniture is an investment.

The whole thing feels refreshingly honest-no showroom pressure, no endless options to paralyze you, just well-made furniture that shows up quickly and goes together easily. Sometimes the best innovations are just fixing the obvious problems everyone else ignored.
