💝Feel the love with a FREE Valentine's Pattern & Recipe💝

Hi Everyone! How's the weather where you are? We had “faux spring” for a couple of days here in Kansas City (60°+!), but now we are back to winter. Wherever you are, and whatever the weather, I hope you are able to cozy up with friends and family this week for Valentine's Day… read on to find a ton of February fun!

 

First, I hope you find a minute to watch one of my favorite Vintage Made Modern Videos - the February Love & Hankies Episode - where I share vintage valentines and my love of hankies. Do you recognize the red heart hankie in the photo above? I also featured it in the February chapter of Vintage Notions! And this is my favorite Valentine treat, the Heart Pastries from Kansas City's very own, Andre's Chocolates. A must-try if you are in town! 

Don't let February slip away without making at least one project featuring hearts! If you are looking for an easy and fun project, be sure to download my FREE 'Heart to Art' PDF pattern! This pattern can really let you get creative - just add some decorative embroidery to your fabric or edge your heart with fun trimmings and you will have the cutest new addition to your wardrobe - just in time for Valentine's Day! Here's another tip - use the heart-shaped hole left in your paper to fussy cut your fabric to exactly what you want.

Yes, I am sure you are aware that there is a Super Big Game happening this weekend. And, as you can imagine, Kansas City it just beside itself hoping for a Superbowl “3-peat”, but I'll spare you anymore details. But just in case you have a party to go to, here is my absolute favorite Superbowl Salsa recipe. Truly my Salsa MVP. You guys, QuiltCon is just around the corner! This year's QuiltCon is Feb 20th-23rd in Phoenix and I am so excited to be attending this year.  I will be hanging out with my Oliso pals in Booth 222 and doing some upcycling demos with the M3Pro Project Iron and my Treasured Threadz fabrics created in partnership with Colonial Patterns. I will also have a fun giveaway to hand embroider in limited supply, so stop early!
