Hello Fabric Friends, 

A little reminder that in one week, I'll be joining Quilt Alliance for a virtual Textile Talks presentation discussing my book Love You to Pieces: A Gift of Friendship. 

I'll be sharing stories, images, and insights drawn from my lifelong love of textiles and quilt history. I'll be bringing along quilts, vintage fabric dolls, and the stories that connect them, plus some thoughts on friendship within our community.

The webinar is free, open to all, and includes a live Q&A. Hope you can join us!

Textile Talks is a popular virtual series that brings together quilters, textile artists, historians, and makers for thoughtful conversations about quilts and the stories behind them. Hosted by Quilt Alliance (along with partner organizations), the series has featured a wide range of voices — from artists and historians to cultural storytellers. Quilt Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to documenting, preserving, and sharing the stories of quilts and quiltmakers. Through initiatives like Textile Talks and Save Our Stories, they help ensure these voices and traditions are carried forward. 

Last month, The Quilt Alliance welcomed seven-time Tony Award-winning actor and playwright Harvey Fierstein (best known for Mrs. Doubtfire and Kinky Boots) to Textile Talks for a QSOS oral history interview conducted by quilt artist Zak Foster. 
 Other guests have included, quilt historians, documentarians, and contemporary textile artists who are helping preserve and share our quilt heritage.

I'm honored to be part of this creative and meaningful lineup.

As 2025 winds down, I've been reflecting on the year — the videos, interviews, articles, and of course, all the Love You to Pieces adventures that made it so special.

It was wonderful connecting with so many of you both in person and online. In my January newsletters, I'll be sharing a fun, behind-the-scenes look back at where I popped up this year — along with what's ahead..

And with the year drawing to a close, I want to thank you—both longtime readers and the many new subscribers who joined along the way. I'm grateful for this community and look forward to sharing many new things with you in 2026.
