Returns

What is the return window?
Free returns apply to domestic purchases that you return within 90 days of purchase.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Products marked final sale are not eligible for returns. Products should be unworn and still have their tags and original packaging.

How will I receive my refund?
We'll send you a Return Confirmation email as soon as we've processed your return and issued the refund to your original form of payment. From there, it may take up to 14 business days for the refund to be reflected on your statement. Exact timing depends on the credit card or other company processing the refund. If your original order was paid for using an Ariat gift card, we will email a new gift card in the refund amount to the email address on the order.

Who pays for return shipping?
You can return most items purchased at ariat.com for free, with a prepaid return label. Unfortunately, we can't refund shipping charges.

How do I start a return online?
To return one or more items from an order, simply enter your email address and order number here. We'll email you a Return Initiated email with a prepaid shipping label and packing slip to print. Place the packing slip and the items you're returning in a box and tape the shipping label to the outside. Drop the box off at the carrier listed on the shipping label.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Ariat-it's not just another boot company. Founded back in 1993 by two Stanford Business School grads who saw a gap in the market, Beth Cross and Pam Parker basically asked themselves: why can't riding boots have the same tech as athletic shoes? And honestly, that question changed everything.

They named the company after Secretariat, that legendary racehorse with a heart three times the normal size. Kind of fitting, right? Because Ariat's approach has always been bigger and bolder than the competition. They were the first to integrate athletic footwear technology into equestrian boots, and that innovation didn't stop there.

Fast forward to today, and Ariat's become the largest equestrian sports brand in the world as of 2023. But they're not just about horses anymore. Their product line has expanded into work boots, outdoor gear, and apparel that actually performs. We're talking flame-resistant clothing for oil workers, waterproof boots with U-turn entry systems, and jeans that somehow manage to be both durable and comfortable.

What really sets them apart is the obsessive attention to detail. Their boots go through 150 steps during construction-150! They partner with biomechanical research groups and testing labs to make sure everything they produce can handle real-world conditions. The leather quality, the stitches per inch, even how the denim is finished by actual "denim artists" to give each pair a unique look. It's that level of care that keeps people coming back.

And the brand's reach? It's massive. They sponsor everyone from 26-time World Champion Trevor Brazile to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (since 2024). They're the official boot sponsor of the Professional Bull Riders, they've partnered with the US Equestrian Federation, and in 2025, they even became the official boot sponsor of the Stagecoach country music festival. That's the kind of cultural presence most brands only dream about.

But here's what I find interesting-despite all that growth and all those partnerships, Ariat hasn't lost sight of what made them special in the first place. They're still innovating, still pushing boundaries, and still making products they're actually proud to use themselves. Whether you're working on a ranch, competing in rodeos, or just want boots that'll last more than a season, Ariat's built a reputation on delivering exactly that.
