Returns

What is the return window?
Bloomscape has a 30-day replacement policy and guarantees all plants for 30 days after arrival. At this time, Bloomscape does not accept returns on plants, but they do guarantee every plant will arrive in great condition, and all plants are guaranteed for 30 days after arrival. (Please note: Repotting your plant into a new container within the first 30 days will void the guarantee.)

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
All apparel sales are final. We do not accept returns on these items, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and tote bags. All physical gift card sales are final.

How will I receive my refund?
It is at our discretion to determine whether a replacement, refund (partial or full), or store credit will be issued. Please note that replacement, store credit, or refund will be for the damaged portion of your order. A return shipping fee of $7.00 per item will be deducted from the refund amount. Refunds are processed within 7 days after we receive your returned item.

What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
If your plant or pot arrived damaged and your purchase was made less than 30 days ago, please capture a few photos of your damaged item. Then, contact Customer Success via our support form with your order number and photos of the damaged item. Bloomscape may request further information and pictures. Pictures are required as proof of damage.

How do I start a return online?
Please contact us at [email protected] to initiate a replacement product. Simply reach out to our customer support team to start the process.

Editor's Take

You know what's kind of wild? Bloomscape's got five generations of plant expertise backing them up, and they've basically figured out how to ship living things without turning them into expensive compost. That's... actually pretty impressive when you think about it.

So here's the deal with these folks. They make buying plants easy by delivering healthy, ready-to-go plants to your door and setting you up with the tips and tricks you need to help your plants thrive. But it's not just about dropping a plant on your doorstep and hoping for the best. They deliver mature, pre-potted, healthy plants with instructions on how to care for them, and because they ship in boxes that hold the pot in place, you don't have to worry about your new green babies arriving smushed or spilled.

The company launched back in 2018, and honestly, their timing was pretty perfect. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Detroit, MI, they caught the whole houseplant craze right as it was taking off. And then the pandemic hit, and suddenly everyone was stuck at home wanting to turn their living spaces into little green sanctuaries.

What sets them apart from just grabbing something at Home Depot? Well, they guarantee that every plant will arrive in good health, and all plants are guaranteed for 30 days after arrival. They take great pride in the care of their plants in their greenhouses as well as in the protective packaging they use to ship their plants. That's not nothing when you're talking about shipping living things across the country.

And they're not just winging it here. Bloomscape has raised $24.2M in funding, which tells you investors think there's something real here. With 28 total employees, they're still pretty lean, but they've managed to build something that works.

The whole operation runs out of Detroit, which is refreshing in a world where every startup seems to be based in Silicon Valley. Their headquarters are at 5000 Grand River Ave in Detroit, Michigan, and they ship from a greenhouse in Muskegon. There's something nice about a plant company that's actually rooted somewhere specific, you know?
