Returns
What is the return window?
You may return items in their original, unworn condition within 30 days from the shipment date for a full refund or exchange - no questions asked. As part of their extended return policy, items can be returned by January 5th, 2026.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Diamonds purchased as part of the Blue Nile Diamond Upgrade Program may not be returned for credit, but can be exchanged within 30 days. Personalized gemstones collection and clearance items are not eligible for return. Special orders are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.
How will I receive my refund?
It may take your bank up to 10 business days to post the funds to your account. Bank wire refunds typically take seven to 10 business days after the return has been processed. Returned orders with bank wire as the original payment method will be refunded via bank wire or ACH payment. Orders paid for through PayPal will be credited back to your PayPal account within two weeks.
Who pays for return shipping?
If returning within 30 days, a free shipping label will be emailed to you once you have initiated your return (limit of two complimentary returns per customer, per year). If returning outside of 30 days (for resizing, cleaning, or repairs), you may return your merchandise using the carrier of your choice.
What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
If your item arrives damaged, you should either refuse the shipment or contact Blue Nile immediately at 1-800-242-2728. Retain all packing materials until further instructed by Blue Nile. Claims for damaged or missing items must be reported within five days of receipt.
