Gigi Pip, Friends of Friends Hat Co., & Lack of Color Hats are returnable for store credit only due to the high demand and shipping costs related to shipping the hat collection. Editor's Take
So here's the thing about Bohemian Mama-it's basically what happens when someone finally figured out that shopping sustainably doesn't have to mean sacrificing style. And honestly? That's kind of revolutionary in a space where "eco-friendly" often translates to beige linen sacks.
Founded by Gina Ozhuthual, this lifestyle brand started as an online platform to empower women with sustainable and ethical decisions for themselves and their children without compromising aesthetics, bringing a highly curated collection of top independent bohemian brands that are organic whenever possible, sustainable and always ethical. Notice how they're not just throwing around buzzwords-there's actual intention behind the curation.
The brand launched in 2015, which means they were ahead of the curve before every retailer started slapping "sustainable" on their homepage. They've been featured in publications including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Architectural Digest, so clearly the fashion world took notice. But what really sets them apart is the breadth-you're not just shopping for yourself. You can find everything you need for yourself, your home and your children in one place, including luxury clothing, handcrafted jewelry, unique bags, and organic beauty products from the best sustainable fashion brands for women and their little ones.
They've got physical locations now too. The Costa Mesa shop is at 2981 Bristol Street, Suite B3, at The CAMP, which if you know Orange County, is basically the perfect fit-The CAMP is all about that eco-conscious, community vibe. The store is open 7 days a week from 11am to 7pm. And get this-they also have a presence on the East Coast with their original New Jersey location.
The product mix is where things get interesting. We're talking brands like Rylee & Cru, Free People, Lack of Color hats (which apparently are a big deal), Maileg toys, and a bunch of other labels you won't find at your typical mall. They carry organic baby clothes, accessories, trendy kids' outfits, intimates, athletic clothing, leather shoes, organic skincare products, mommy 'n' me styles, and bohemian home decor-all built to last through all stages of life.
Shipping-wise, they're pretty standard but fair. They ship internationally via USPS Priority Mail with tracking, processing orders within 2 business days, with domestic orders arriving within 1 to 4 days and international orders within 8 to 15 days. Free shipping kicks in at $100, which honestly isn't bad considering the quality of what they're selling.
One thing worth mentioning-and this comes up in reviews-is that their return policy has some specific exclusions. Hats, for instance, are store credit only, and anything with a discount over 10% is final sale. So yeah, read the fine print before you click buy. But that's pretty common for boutique retailers working with independent brands.
The whole vibe is basically "conscious consumption meets actual style," which is refreshing. You're not being lectured about sustainability-you're just being offered better options that happen to be ethically made. And sometimes that's exactly what people need.
