Editor's Take
Branch isn't your typical furniture company-and honestly, that's exactly what makes them interesting. Founded in 2018 when CEO Greg Hayes got fed up with the office furniture industry's terrible options (either expensive and slow, or cheap and awful), Branch decided to cut out the middlemen entirely. Smart move, really.
What's fascinating is how they've positioned themselves. By selling direct, they claim to save customers up to 50% compared to premium furniture of comparable quality. That's not just marketing fluff-when you think about traditional furniture dealers with their unclear pricing and hefty markups, it makes sense.
They've got some serious credibility too, with top ratings from Wired, Forbes, Wirecutter, and over 400,000 customers. But here's what really caught my attention: their warranty game is strong, offering 2 to 10 years of coverage depending on the product. Some of their furniture is covered for nearly twice the length of a typical office lease-that's confidence in your product.
The company's philosophy is refreshingly straightforward. When you feel good while working, you're able to do your best work, and they aim to bring more joy into your day through an empathetic, ergonomic approach. It's not revolutionary thinking, but it's executed well.
And they're not just selling chairs and desks. For teams, Branch provides end-to-end service: space design, delivery, white glove installation, even the ability to trade in used furniture when you move or grow. That's the kind of service that makes CFOs happy-one vendor, one relationship, less hassle.
The numbers speak for themselves. Launched in 2019, Branch makes furnishing flexible, ergonomic office spaces easy and affordable for remote workers and hybrid teams, providing end-to-end service so customers can design, purchase, and handle delivery & assembly in one place. In a world where remote work isn't going anywhere, that positioning feels pretty smart.
