Track position is everything at the Night Race. See why the pole might not be enough.
Fan,
Did you know?
In the Night Race, track position is essentially everything.
The average starting position of a Night Race winner is 5.8, and pole sitters convert to wins only 24% of the time. The deepest a driver has ever come from to win is 30th, by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 2004.
And in that win in 2004, Dale Jr. coined the phrase "It's Bristol Baby!"
