Rich, resinous epazote is paired with hoja santa, cilantro and parsley for a sweetly herby, slightly smoky balance. Blended together with onion and garlic, a shake of Herbs & Garlic seasoning brings forward surprising notes of roasted tomato, melty mozzarella, creamy garlic butter and pepper steak & onions.
Partner supplier Nina explains that the amazing flavors in this blend is in large part due to the terroir of where the herbs come from: “We start with top-quality ingredients. They’re grown mainly in the valleys of Oaxaca, where there’s just the right balance of water and sunlight, giving the herbs their truly special taste. Many of them come from family farms, where the land has been cared for over generations to produce the best possible herbs. And since they’re freeze-dried, you get to enjoy even more intense, vibrant, and herbal flavors.”
