Marian writes: The magic of Burning Man has always been in its ability to evolve while staying true to its core principles, and that evolution has always been driven by you β the community that dreams up the impossible and then makes it real. This year, that transformative power is in all of our hands. Together, we have the chance to write the next chapter of Burning Manβs story, one that responds to the needs of our time while creating new possibilities for human connection and cultural transformation. Read on to learn how this moment opens new opportunities to make an impact on Burning Man's evolution. Art: The Hiveβ by Tim Bremner (Photo by Eleanor Preger) Burners Responding to the Los Angeles Fires We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the recent fires in Los Angeles, which have destroyed thousands of homes and impacted countless lives. Burner-affiliated organizations such as Footprint Project and Solar Punks are on the ground in LA, mobilizing innovative renewable energy solutions to power residentsβ critical medical equipment, lighting needs, internet hubs, and provide related emergency support for first responders in affected areas. Beyond the immediate response, Burners are also imagining ways that communities might rebuild regeneratively, by hosting conversations on natural building techniques and how we might keep the mutual aid networks that have developed in the moment of crisis alive for whatever comes next. This Burners Without Borders (BWB) resource page offers information on active Burner-led projects, donation opportunities, and ways to contribute thoughtfully to relief efforts. (Photo courtesy of Footprint Project) Support Burning Man Project In a world where genuine human connection and creativity often feel secondary, Burning Man offers a space that reminds us of the power of community, art, and self-discovery. Your commitment to these values fosters an environment where people can reconnect with what truly matters, inspiring us to carry those lessons into our daily lives. Now more than ever, such a culture is essential, reminding us of our collective humanity and the beauty of embracing diverse perspectives. Thank you for all that you do. Your contributions of time, participation, and philanthropy bring Burning Man to life. With the beginning of a new event cycle, the nonprofit still requires support above and beyond ticket sales to build Black Rock City and ensure Burning Man remains financially accessible. Weβre no longer offering $2,500 FOMO tickets (as we did from 2022-2024); instead, Burning Man Project has launched the Patron of Black Rock City. This is a new, limited-time program that embodies the principle of Gifting and offers the opportunity for those who would like to make a contribution to support Black Rock City directly, enabling more participant access, and art Honoraria grants. Because of the community's generosity, we will continue to build Black Rock City and stoke this wonderfully connective culture that has changed so many lives. We will continue to bring people together to imagine and build grand things that infuse the world with awe. THANK YOU for supporting Black Rock City!
