| No images? Click here Volume 30, Issue #23 | June 14, 2026 Forty years ago on the solstice, friends gathered to burn a Man on a San Francisco Beach. Today around the world, Burning Man inspires more than a million people to live more creative, connected lives. On Sunday, June 21 YOU are invited to light up the solstice in a simultaneous, global celebration of this audacious milestone. Jump below for details. We've hit that moment when the participation section gets a little... (ahem) hefty. Black Rock City teams are recruiting! Get involved with Department of Public Works; the city's hub for gathering and shenanigans, Center Camp Canopy; or the data gathers at Census. Find your crew and help make the rocket go! Have questions about art, a mutant vehicle, or theme camps and open camping? Join office hours with Art, Department of Mutant Vehicles, and Placement. If you're hosting an activity or event in Black Rock City 2026, WhatWhereWhen guide submissions open Thursday, June 18. Tap into it all, right here. Find your people at fun and connective events. Tickets are still available for the Burners Without Borders Solstice Summit June 18 to 21. Meanwhile in Europe, RoBurn gathers Burners in Romania late July. Let's make some art! Venice AfterBurn launched an art grant for its October Regional Event. Scroll for the links. Eager to score tickets to Black Rock City 2026? Tickets are available now via the Secure Ticket Exchange Program (STEP). Now let's create the next 40 years. Light Up the Solstice to Celebrate 40 Years of Burning Man June 21, the solstice, marks the 40th anniversary of Burning Man. Together let's reflect on this astonishing journey, and imagine the next four decades of Burning Man and this radiant global cultural movement. Wherever you are, and however you burn, YOU are invited to light up the solstice in a simultaneous celebration of that first spark β¨. Gather with friends, build an effigy, dance beneath the stars, illuminate the night, host a campout, spin fire π₯. Share your celebration with the hashtag #next40burningman. Weβll do our best to highlight as many moments as we can! (Photo by Mark Fromson) Participate and Build the City with the Department of Public Works If you thrive on the grit, the dust, and the beautiful chaos of building a city from scratch in the open desert, you belong with the Department of Public Works (DPW). DPW is the backbone of Black Rock City. Ask any crew member β the experience IS the reward. Youβre working hard alongside some of the most interesting people youβll ever meet and playing hard when the shift ends like you've earned it. As a DPW member, you get to live the version of Burning Man that most people never get to see. Choose your Adventure:
