The Jackrabbit Speaks by Burning Man Project | V29:#16 β β...
| No images? Click here Volume 29, Issue #16 | April 30, 2025 The most important thing to bring to Burning Man is YOU. Bring your whole self: your full presence, and gift your heart and creativity to the people around you. That right there is Immediacy. Of course, also bring everything you need to survive in the desert for eight days. But to show up in BRC with your Burner gear and leave yourself behind, THAT would be a disservice. If this is your first rodeo, youβre not alone. Every year, around a third of Black Rock Cityβs citizens are new to the event. Black Rock City can be daunting until you realize: everyone is welcome. Start where you are with what you've got. Bring your friends and something to share; help out on a project, or join one of the teams that makes Black Rock City happen. This Playa Primer is a great place to begin. Just like that: Burning Man becomes you. If you registered to acquire tickets in the April 30 Tomorrow Sale, guess what day it is? Support Burning Man Project Last year was my first burn. It was truly life changing. I shed tears of remembrance in the Temple and tears of awe on the playa admiring the amazing art... My donations were a small way of saying thanks and contributing to the beautiful community we create every year. As the anticipation builds and tickets are on sale, weβre right there with you, dreaming of the dust, the art, the connection, and the magic. Black Rock City doesnβt rise on dreams alone. Itβs built by a community that gives back. Your support powers year-round efforts to create the city we all long for β from awe-inspiring Honoraria art to the Ticket Aid Program that helps keep Burning Man financially accessible to all. Whether you're feeling the thrill of returning, or going for the very first time β nowβs the perfect time to give back. If youβre interested in learning about various ways to give, or want your gift to support a specific area or program, we invite you to connect with us at [email protected]. Without conventional interviews or commercial narratives, it offers a powerful visual experience and insight into a world where the boundaries between art, culture and Radical Self-expression are dissolved in the dust of the Nevada desert.
