Help Reduce Gate Wait Times β Join Gate, Perimeter, & Exodus Go for Gate! If you want to help shape the experience and flow of those entering and leaving Black Rock City, then this team is for you! Itβs easier than ever to volunteer with Gate, Perimeter, & Exodus (GP&E). You get to be the first face folks see, help your friends come Home, and you just might find your people in the process. You can even organize a group experience for your campmates to spend some time together in the Gate lanes. Volunteering with GP&E provides a unique, rewarding experience that very few people within BRC get to have β and we have roles for every level of commitment: π The Quick Jump-In: Do a single (or more) four-hour shift to welcome folks during opening weekend. Ready to get involved in making Gate great? Complete the Volunteer Questionnaire and check the box for Gate, Perimeter, & Exodus!

The Wheel Deal began with a survey (it's still open and linked below), and continues with a series of virtual town halls; each will explore a different theme emerging from the survey responses.

Here's your opportunity. On Tuesday of Burn Week the BRC50k will circumnavigate the playa multiple times, kicking in the ultimate runners' high. There are shorter runs, too (5k, naked mile, beer mile, *the Odyssey*, kids' race, easy run, and more). Organizers are also looking for volunteers to support the ultramarathon. (Photo by Scott London) The Gifts of Time: Somewhere Between Work and Magic Black Rock City is built and managed by every person who comes to the event β that means YOU! Ask anyone who is plugged into a volunteer crew and they'll wax poetic about the friendships, community, and empowering magic of being central to how the event comes to life. Read on to meet Black Rock citizens who volunteer for Lamplighters and Greeters, and learn how getting involved made their lives more meaningful far beyond the playa. These are two of several playa teams, which also include Arctica and Census, that are ideal for first- or second-year Burners: they require minimal Burning Man experience, and welcome participants with a wide range of abilities.
