Burning Man is a bike-oriented culture β in fact, Black Rock City has more bikes per capita than any city in the world. Cool, huh? But first β it's not too late to score a ticket to Black Rock City! Read on for all the juicy details. Do not underestimate the importance of having a reliable, well-tuned bike on playa! Black Rock City is vast, and you will absolutely want to bike around and explore. Read on, dusty one, to learn important information about bringing a bike to Black Rock City. Do you ride an e-bike? Come a little closer. Black Rock City's speed limit is 5 mph and it applies to ALL vehicles β including e-bikes. Please operate your e-bike safely, especially in crowded or high traffic areas. Keep reading for an important update on e-bikes for 2024. Now friend, what do you do with your trusted, dusty bicycle at the end of Burn Week? That's right, you pack it up and put it on your vehicle or the Burner Express and you take it home. DO NOT abandon bikes on playa. There are also places to donate your bike in Reno... read on. Weβre happy to say, YES β you can still score tickets for yourself and your friends! Registration for the OMG Ticket Sale is NOW open. Recent trends around the world show last minute ticket buying for concerts, and other live events. To encourage immediacy, starting July 31 until they sell out, we are opening up the sale without the need for pre-registration. π TL;DR:
(Reminder! Do not buy tickets from someone you do not know. And never pay above face value for a ticket. Buy your ticket in the OMG Sale, by following the rabbit, through the July 31 sale while tickets last, or through the Secure Ticket Exchange Program [STEP]. Ride a Bike or an E-bike in BRC? Read This. Planning to ride an e-bike in Black Rock City? Serious incidents in 2024 tell us some e-bike riders need to slow down and ride responsibly. Abandoned bikes are MOOP. In 2023, approximately 1,500 bikes were abandoned by participants with no regard for the principles of being a Black Rock citizen. Hardworking human beings with better things to do had to pick up those bikes, load them onto trucks, and drive them off playa.
