First up: it's the Kids and Families Special Edition. Can I bring my kid to Black Rock City? Heck yes! Little whippersnappers have been an integral part of Burning Man since the very beginning. When Larry Harvey and Jerry James burned the first Man in 1986, their five-year-old sons built a Burning Dog alongside their dads' human-shaped effigy. Black Rock City is full of adventures and events for kids. The city’s infrastructure supports the presence of families, and this community has a stellar history of taking care of its wild, wonderful children. There's even a village called Kidsville, just for kids and families. Keep reading for some useful resources and programs for Burner families. Admission is free for kids 12 and under, but each kiddo needs to have their own free print-at-home Kids Ticket. Kids Tickets will be available the third week of July; watch for details on the ticketing page. New to Burning Man? Save the date for the 2026 Summer Participation Fair on Saturday, July 25.
