Today, we want to share the story of Hunter—a young artist whose life was transformed by The Center for the Arts. At just 11 years old, Hunter struggled with severe anxiety, a challenge made even harder by the isolation of the COVID-19 lockdown. “I was having a really hard time being out of the house and socializing with other people,” she shared. “I was an absolute wreck when I first started at The Center. I felt anxious and self-conscious about even interacting with others.”
Everything changed when Hunter joined her first theatre camp at The Center. In a welcoming, creative space surrounded by caring peers, Hunter found her footing.
