Editor's Take

You know that moment when you stumble across something that makes you think, "Where has this been all my life?" That's basically Caraway in a nutshell. This company took one look at the cookware industry and said, "We can do better than toxic chemicals masquerading as convenience," then delivered ceramic-coated pots and pans that are genuinely non-stick without the scary stuff like PTFE, PFOA, and PFAS.

But here's what really gets me-they didn't just focus on making safer cookware. They made it gorgeous. We're talking colors that pop, smart design elements, and pieces so aesthetically pleasing that people actually display them on countertops. It's like they cracked the code on making utilitarian kitchen tools that you'd want to show off to your friends.

Since launching in 2019, they've caught the attention of Forbes, Gear Patrol, Vogue, and Food and Wine-not exactly easy publications to impress. And the numbers back up the hype. Their ambassador program alone drives 13% of revenue, while only 20% comes from paid media. That's the kind of organic growth that happens when people genuinely love what you're selling.

The founder's origin story is pretty compelling too. Jordan Nathan got Teflon flu from overheating a traditional non-stick pan (yes, that's a real thing), discovered it only takes 2.5 minutes for these pans to start releasing toxic chemicals, and decided there had to be a better way. Sometimes the best businesses come from solving your own problems.

What sets them apart isn't just the non-toxic angle-though they do test their products for over 200 harmful substances through third-party labs and manufacture in BSCI-certified factories. It's the complete package: they include complimentary storage organizers with their sets, the ceramic coating actually works (people rave about the non-stick performance), and they offer free shipping on orders over $90 plus free 30-day returns.

The brand has this interesting approach to growth too. They've built long-term relationships with influencers, investing in creators when they had 5,000 followers and growing alongside them as they hit 150,000. It's less transactional, more partnership-based-which probably explains why their stuff shows up authentically in people's feeds rather than feeling like obvious ads.
