Editor's Take

You know what's fascinating about Citi Trends? They've basically cracked the code on something most retailers struggle with-making fashion accessible without making it feel cheap. And I mean that in the best way possible.

Started back in 1958 as Allied Department Stores in Savannah, Georgia, they didn't become \"Citi Trends\" until 2000. But here's the thing that gets me: they've grown to over 600 stores across 33 states, and they're still headquartered in that same Georgia city where it all began. There's something refreshingly authentic about that kind of staying power.

What really sets them apart is their approach to urban fashion. They're a value-priced retailer of urban fashion apparel, shoes, accessories and home décor for the entire family, with merchandise designed to appeal to fashion & value conscious consumers at discounts of 20% to 70% off department and specialty stores' regular prices. But it's not just about the discounts-it's about understanding their customer base.

The chain is known for targeting urban, lower-income customers, but they do it with respect and style. Walk into any Citi Trends store and you'll find the latest trends, name brands, and that

And here's what I really appreciate: For over 60 years, Citi Trends has been dedicated to bringing fresh and fashionable merchandise to customers and communities, offering the hottest brands and latest trends at prices up to 50% less than other stores. They're not just selling clothes-they're serving communities that often get overlooked by mainstream fashion retail.
