After 17 seasons in the NHL, Erik Johnson is hanging up the skates. EJ spent 14 years in Burgundy and Blue, helping the Avs capture the 2022 Stanley Cup and racking up more blocked shots than anyone in franchise history. From big goals to bigger hits, he’s left his mark as a memorable defenseman in Avalanche history. Congrats to Erik Johnson on an incredible career and thank you for the memories!

Av For A Day

Av for a Day, presented by Rocky Mountain Children’s, honors inspiring youth ages 7–17 in our community. This program rewards youth who show a positive attitude through adversity or make a remarkable impact through volunteer work or acts of heroism. Selected participants spend a day as a special guest of the Avalanche, with experiences that include attending morning skate, meeting the team, enjoying dinner at Ball Arena, receiving game tickets, and being recognized during the game.
