Returns

What is the return window?
If a product is found unsatisfactory within 6 months of receipt, unopened boxes of lenses or solutions can be returned for a full refund, excluding shipping and handling charges.

Do I need a receipt to return an item?
Visit our Return Request page and provide your item(s) and order details. Within 48 hours, we will email a prepaid shipping label or an update on your request.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
To receive a full credit on returned product, the boxes must be unopened, undamaged, and not defaced in any way including writing on boxes. We cannot give refunds for defective lenses in opened boxes.

How will I receive my refund?
Once we've received your returned product, as long as it's in original condition and undamaged, we'll refund your purchase. It will show up as a credit on your card. Keep in mind that it may take about up to 15 days to receive the refund.

What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
If you have received a damaged, defective, or incorrect order, please contact our Customer Service immediately at 1-844-553-6737. If you believe that a lens or lenses are defective, please do not dispose of them; they may have to be returned to the manufacturer for analysis.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about ContactsDirect-they're basically the online contact lens arm of Luxottica, which is kind of a big deal in the eyewear world. You know how Ray-Ban and Oakley seem to be everywhere? Same parent company. But ContactsDirect isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. They're more like that reliable friend who always has what you need.

What's actually pretty smart about their setup is how they've made the whole insurance thing work. Most online contact retailers make you jump through hoops to use your vision benefits, but ContactsDirect accepts EyeMed, Aetna, and a bunch of other major plans directly. No forms to mail in, no waiting for reimbursements-just apply your benefits at checkout. It's one of those "why doesn't everyone do this?" moments.

And speaking of convenience, they've got this partnership with LensCrafters where you can order online but pick up in-store. Sounds simple, but it's actually genius for people who hate waiting around for packages or live in apartments where deliveries disappear. Nearly 2,000 locations offer this service, which is more coverage than most people realize.

The pricing is competitive-not always the cheapest, but they do price matching and those annual supply discounts can save you up to $100. Their return policy is pretty generous too: six months to return unopened boxes, which is way longer than most retailers give you. Though fair warning-their customer service gets mixed reviews, so your experience might vary depending on who you get.

One thing that stands out is their prescription verification process. They'll actually call your doctor to confirm your prescription, which sounds annoying but is legally required and honestly kind of reassuring. Better than ordering the wrong contacts and dealing with that headache later.

The website itself is straightforward-no fancy bells and whistles, just search, select, order. Sometimes simple is better, especially when you're dealing with something as specific as contact lens prescriptions. They carry all the major brands you'd expect: Acuvue, Dailies, Air Optix, the whole lineup.
