What is the return window?
We have a 30-day return period when returned to Converse.com, and a 30-day return period when returned to a store. If you exceed the 30 days, you can still return the product, but it has to be in the original packaging, unwashed, unworn, and in a resalable condition. Converse can decide to extend the return period from 30 to 60 days during the festive seasons.
Do I need a receipt to return an item?
For in-store purchases, bring back your Converse products with your receipt for a full refund to the original form of payment. Converse product purchased from another authorized retailer or vendor cannot be returned to Converse.com or a Converse retail store.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Gift cards purchased on Converse.com are not refundable. In the case of customized products, you can return them within 30 days if the product is defective or has a flaw. Otherwise, customized products are generally not eligible for return.

You know those shoes that basically everyone's worn at some point? Yeah, Converse is that brand. But here's the thing-they're way more interesting than you might think.
Founded back in 1908, Converse started as a rubber shoe company in Massachusetts. The Chuck Taylor All Star, which dropped in the early 1900s, was originally a basketball shoe. Like, an actual performance basketball shoe that pros wore on the court. Fast forward to today, and those same Chucks have become this cultural icon that's somehow managed to stay relevant for over a century. That's kind of wild when you think about it.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars are amongst the all-time best sellers, with 750 million pairs sold worldwide. That's not a typo. 750 million. And they're still going strong.
What's interesting is how Converse has evolved. Sure, they're owned by Nike now (since 2003), but they've maintained their own identity. They're not trying to be a performance athletic brand anymore-they've leaned hard into lifestyle, streetwear, and self-expression. The brand collaborates with everyone from high-fashion designers like Rick Owens to musicians and artists, constantly dropping limited-edition collections that sell out fast.
Their headquarters sits at Lovejoy Wharf in Boston's North End, and it's basically a 214,000-square-foot creative playground. The building itself is part of Boston's history, sitting right on the harbor in a revitalized industrial area. It's the kind of space that matches what Converse has become-a blend of heritage and forward-thinking creativity.
But let's talk about what makes them different. Converse has this customization thing down. Their "Converse By You" program lets you design your own shoes online, or you can walk into select stores and customize a pair on the spot-patches, embroidery, different laces, whatever. It's ready within an hour. That level of personalization is pretty rare for a brand this size.
The product line has expanded way beyond the classic Chuck Taylor. There's the Chuck 70 (a premium version with better materials), the One Star, Jack Purcell, and newer silhouettes like the Run Star Hike with its chunky platform sole. They've also got a serious skateboarding division called Converse CONS, with a legit team of pro skaters and technical shoes designed for actual skating.
And here's something you might not know: In September 2021, Converse recorded a 1.79% engagement rate on Instagram. That's 15 times higher than Nike's 0.11%! For a brand with fewer followers than its parent company, that's impressive. They've figured out how to connect with their audience in a way that feels authentic rather than corporate.
The return policy is solid-30 days, free returns for registered users, and they'll take stuff back whether you bought it online or in-store. Customer service is available 24/7 at (888) 792-3307, which is actually pretty convenient when you need help.
So yeah, Converse isn't just that shoe brand your parents wore. It's a cultural institution that's managed to stay cool across multiple generations, which is basically impossible to do. Whether you're into classic black-and-white high-tops or some wild collaboration with a designer you've never heard of, there's probably a pair of Converse that fits your vibe.
