Sometimes I just need to make something. Anything. It really doesn't matter what it is, I just have the need to create.
I realized a long time ago that creating keeps me happy. When I go too long without creating, I get really depressed. I loose who I am. Creating is such an important part of who I am that I can't function properly if I don't feed that part of me.
While that may not be the same for all of you, I have found that most people do find making/crafting/creating to be very calming. It can be a type of therapy.
Not everything you create needs to be worthy of a gallery or high-end shop. Sometimes the process is the important part, and what happens with the finished (or even unfinished) piece isn't that important.
No matter why you create, just create. Enjoy making something that wasn't there before. Let go of all the stresses in your life and take some time to unwind with your arts & crafts supplies.
Happy creating, my friends.

IN THE STUDIO:
What I've Been Creating
ADHD Crafting Brought to You by Me
I've been doing a bit of everything lately. I want to make everything, but my ideas come faster than my hands can create.
Months ago I started a series of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland / Through the Looking Glass inspired art pieces. The second piece is a vase-sculpture-Mad Hatter Hat made with woven yarn, paper cord, wire, and an inner structure sculpted out of paper clay. This weekend I spent a lot of time getting the structure shaped, sealed, painted (because I wasn't feeling strongly about the sealing) and then sealed again.
Speaking of paper cord, I've been making a lot of it for more art pieces, probably with more weaving. Not sure, we'll see.
I've also been working on step by step illustrations for my stitch tutorials. This is going to be a long process, and I'm really looking forward to the results!

| | @morecookieplease_ I was so surprised to see a friend of mine pop up on the NJ Governor's socials. That's Cookie next to Mikey Sherrill, I had no idea she was a Drag Queen. I know her from her "day job". I'm so excited for her getting to meet Gov. Sherrill. I'm also a little jealous! |
| | Wine Not the Label In honor of Pride month, I'm sharing this famous clip of Schitt's Creek. I love this show. I hope to one day live in a world where sexuality is just one aspect of who each person is, and is not used to judge or hate. |
