| Top Earnings NewsWalmart Missed Expectations Walmart (WMT) reported earnings of $0.68 per share on revenue of $177.40 billion for the fiscal second quarter ended July 2025. The consensus earnings estimate was $0.73 per share on revenue of $175.35 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $0.75 per share. The company missed expectations by 9.33% while revenue grew 4.76% on a year-over-year basis.
The company said it expects third quarter earnings of $0.58 to $0.60 per share on revenue of $175.95 billion to $177.64 billion and now expects fiscal 2026 earnings of $2.52 to $2.62 per share on revenue of $699.79 billion to $706.54 billion. The company's previous guidance was fiscal year earnings of $2.50 to $2.60 per share on revenue of $694.74 billion to $701.48 billion. The current consensus estimate is earnings of $0.59 per share on revenue of $175.76 billion for the quarter ending October 31, 2025 and earnings of $2.60 per share on revenue of $704.71 billion for the year ending January 31, 2026.
