Returns
What is the return window?
The return period is 12 months from the date of purchase for unused test kits. For other products like supplements, returns are accepted within 60 days for unopened items in good condition. Opened products receive a 50% refund if returned within 30 days of purchase.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Individual tests within a Bundle or Litter Pack cannot be returned or exchanged unless one of the tests has failed and you are no longer interested in proceeding with testing. Orders for Health & Trait Upgrades are final and cannot be canceled once placed. Embark's services and Telehealth Services are non-refundable except as specifically provided in their policy.
How will I receive my refund?
Return for store credit is not available. Embark does not provide refunds for scientifically sound work and stands behind the results of every test. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method for eligible returns.
What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
If initial processing of your pet's saliva sample fails and enough sample remains for reprocessing, they will reprocess the same sample at no charge. If the second attempt fails, they will offer to send you a new test kit at no charge. If you decline the replacement option within 30 days, you are entitled to a refund of the amount paid for testing, less shipping.
Who pays for return shipping?
For failed samples that result in refunds, the refund amount is less shipping and handling costs. The customer is generally responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective or the company made an error.
