I found the instructions!
It does come with a user guide, it is in between the front and rear packaging! Difficult to find, so I push this up to five stars because it does what it says very well.

I've just got one of these gives expected results today I have split the following logs and got readings.
Apple 22mths down stored undercover 21%
Sycamore 18mths down stored outside on grass no cover 42%
Elm 2 weeks down 35%
Willow 5 days down 35%
Ash unknown felling but been in log basket all summer since not being put on last burn of last season 12%.

A must have if you have a log burner
Got one last year and it is easy to use and quite accurate (I took it to work and tested it against known moisture samples)
