What is the return window?
If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase you can return your goods for whatever reason, no questions asked, provided they get them back within 28 days of order receipt and in perfect sellable condition.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Items cannot be accepted for return if the tags have been removed, they are marked, soiled, stretched, bleached or damaged in any way, they are scented with aftershave, perfume, deodorant or smoke, or they have been washed. For hygiene reasons they cannot accept returns for underwear and socks unless faulty.
How will I receive my refund?
Flatspot always issues refunds according to the original payment method, so if you used a gift voucher your refund will go back onto the same gift voucher code. Once they've emailed to say they have issued a refund for you, it can take anywhere between 2 and 5 working days depending on which bank you are with.
Who pays for return shipping?
There is a charge of £2.50 for the Royal Mail returns label which they will deduct from your refund, unless your item was faulty or an error has occurred, in which case you should contact them by email to arrange a free return.
What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
If you have a faulty item, you should email them at [email protected] with your order number and a couple of photos of the fault and they'll sort this out for you, and they may ask that you return the item to them.
Editor's Take
So here's the thing about Flatspot-it's basically what happens when skateboard culture grows up but refuses to lose its edge. Established in 1995 in the Southwest of England, this independent skate store has evolved from its humble beginnings into a leading online destination for men's contemporary fashion and streetwear, and honestly? They've done it without selling out.
The story's kind of perfect, actually. They started with a love for skateboarding and a dream of building a community around their passion, and now, 25 years later, Flatspot has evolved into an independent adventure apparel store dedicated to equipping people to explore, discover and play more. Notice how they didn't just pivot to generic outdoor gear-they stayed true to their roots while expanding what that could mean.
What makes them different is this: they're not trying to be everything to everyone. They're all about stocking great looking, good quality gear for activities that help you connect with yourself, with nature, and with the world around us, with their goal being to help you find your Flow, whether it's through skateboarding, climbing, running, cycling, or any other activity that sets your soul on fire. That's not marketing speak-you can see it in their curation.
And the curation matters here. From iconic names to emerging talents, they only feature brands that share their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. Think Nike SB sitting next to Carhartt WIP, Patagonia alongside Stüssy. It's that sweet spot between technical performance and street credibility that most retailers completely miss.
The online experience reflects their skate roots-clean, fast, no BS. Flatspot has 5 stars with over 9,844 customer reviews on Trustpilot, which is basically unheard of for an independent retailer. People keep coming back because the service is solid, the gear is legit, and there's this sense that you're supporting something real rather than feeding another corporate machine.
But here's what really stands out: they've managed to scale without losing their identity. They're shipping internationally, running limited edition drops through their releases site, collaborating with brands-all while maintaining that independent skate shop vibe that made them special in the first place. In an era where authenticity is constantly commodified, Flatspot just... is. And maybe that's the whole point.
