Every visit to Georgia Aquarium is filled with wonder, including the animals, the galleries, and those moments that stay with you long after you leave.
But before any of that existed, there was one big idea: bring the ocean inland so everyone could experience its magic.
That idea became the foundation of Georgia Aquarium.
And from the start, our mission has gone far beyond creating a place to see incredible animals. It’s been about caring for them, protecting them, and sharing their stories in a way that inspires people everywhere, including through stories shared by our guests.
For 20 years, our teams have worked with animals from around the world, from sea turtles we've rehabilitated and released to animals like Nandi, a manta ray who found a forever home here after being injured in the wild. Each one helps us connect guests to the importance of conservation and the impact we can make together.
