I Still Have to Pinch Myself
Every morning I walk onto Union Wharf—the first commercial wharf in Maine, built in 1793—and I swear, I feel like I’ve time-traveled.
Not just because the air smells like salt, wood, and a good day’s work…
…but because somehow, this is where I get to build a business. Right here, where schooners once docked and trade first flowed into Portland’s veins.
I mean, come on. If these planks could talk, they’d tell stories that make lobster tales look tame.
