The Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction challenges writers to break a specific writing “rule” while still telling a great story. The competition will be back and bigger than ever in 2025, with Round 1 kicking off 24-26 January.

The big news is, we’ve doubled the prize pool, with entrants vying for a share of AU$4,000 cash, the coveted Not Quite Write Prize trophy, and a chance at print publication.
