The 24th annual Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest, sponsored by Winning Writers, will award prizes of $2,000, $500, $250, and ten Honorable Mentions of $100 each. The winner will also enjoy a two-year gift certificate from our co-sponsor, Duotrope (a $100 value). The top 13 poems are published on our website. There is no fee to enter.

This contest has been recommended by Reedsy as one of the “Best Writing Contests of 2025”. Most countries eligible, including the UK.

Whether your poem is published or unpublished, or even if it has won a prize in a different contest, you may submit it to our contest. Jendi Reiter will judge, assisted by Lauren Singer. See the past winning poems and the judges’ remarks.
