Returns
What is the return window?
GoldenMine offers a simple 30-day return policy where customers can return or exchange any unaltered, unworn item in original condition within 30 days from the date of receipt of the original order for a full refund, excluding shipping.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Jewelry items with special/custom orders including engravings or custom sizes cannot be returned. Some custom brand-named manufactured items, such as Dora, may have a restocking fee, and items with a restocking fee will be noted in all caps in the item description. Items that exhibit signs of excessive wear or mistreatment, or showing obvious signs of wear or alteration by a jeweler other than GoldenMine will be refused for exchange or return.
How will I receive my refund?
Refunds exclude shipping fees. The refund is processed after the item is received and inspected by GoldenMine to ensure it meets return policy requirements.
Who pays for return shipping?
Customers can send the return package through any carrier of their choice, which indicates that customers are responsible for return shipping costs. GoldenMine is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs with items that are shipped back to them.
Editor's Take
So here's the thing about GoldenMine-it's basically the jewelry equivalent of finding that one store where the prices actually make sense. They've been around since 1999, which in internet years is like forever, and they're doing something kind of interesting in the online gold jewelry space.
The company operates out of Los Angeles' jewelry district, that maze of buildings on Hill Street where basically half the country's jewelry gets made and sold. But instead of just being another wholesale operation, they decided to go direct-to-consumer online. Smart move, honestly. They specialize in men's and women's gold jewelry-chains, rings, necklaces, wedding bands-the classics that never really go out of style.
What's interesting is their pricing model. They position themselves as offering jewelry at prices below retail, which makes sense given they're cutting out the middleman. You're basically buying closer to wholesale, but without needing a business license or having to purchase in bulk. The selection spans everything from 10K to 18K gold, plus platinum, silver, diamond pieces, and even some alternative metals like titanium and tungsten for the wedding band crowd.
The website itself is straightforward-no fancy virtual try-on tech or anything like that. Just solid product photos, descriptions, and prices. They've got categories broken down by metal type, jewelry type, and gender, plus they carry some name brands like Benchmark and Dora for folks who want that. And yeah, they run sales pretty regularly, sometimes offering discounts up to 75% off on clearance items.
The vibe is basically no-frills, good-value jewelry for people who know what they want and don't need a lot of hand-holding. Not the place for custom design work or super trendy pieces, but if you need a solid gold chain or a classic wedding band without the jewelry store markup, it's worth checking out.
