Editor's Take

You know what's funny about car emergencies? They always happen at the worst possible moment-like when you're already running late for something important. That's basically how Gooloo got started, actually. During a self-driving tour in the United States, the professional R&D personnel of Gooloo had to end their long-planned trip ahead of schedule as the car battery was short of power and could not be started. When trying to start the car, they found that the problem of power shortage could be effectively solved by lithium battery application technology.

And honestly? That origin story makes perfect sense when you look at what they've built. Established in 2012, GOOLOO always does its best to make the operation easily with one-button jump starter. But they didn't just stop at jump starters-they've expanded into portable power stations and battery chargers, basically anything that keeps your devices and vehicles running when the power goes out.

What sets Gooloo apart is their focus on lithium battery technology over traditional lead-acid batteries. After returning from the tour, they began carrying out hundreds of experiments and tests, replacing the traditional chromic acid battery with lithium battery technology, and finally developed the first simple and safe jump starter. The result? Jump starters that are way more compact and powerful than those bulky old-school ones your dad probably has in his garage.

Their flagship models like the GT4000 and GP4000 can handle some serious power demands. GOOLOO GT4000: 4000A jump starter for 12L gas/10L diesel engines. -40°F cold starts with pre-heating tech. That's not just marketing speak-these things can actually start a diesel truck in freezing weather, which is pretty impressive for something you can toss in your glove compartment.

But here's what really caught my attention: their customer service seems genuinely solid. Multiple reviews mention a customer service rep named Fiona who goes above and beyond to resolve issues. I had purchased two of these and they sadly had issues I got in contact with customer support and Fiona was awesome! She handled everything quickly and had me two replacements in two days! That kind of personal touch is rare these days.

The company's grown pretty quickly too. Moreover, it has quickly become one of the best brands of car jump starters in the North American market. They've got that "Always Good to Go" philosophy, which basically sums up what you want from emergency automotive gear-it needs to work when you need it, no questions asked.

What I find interesting is how they've positioned themselves in the market. They're not trying to be the cheapest option, but they're also not going for premium luxury pricing. They seem to hit that sweet spot where you get reliable performance without breaking the bank. And with their 30-month warranty program, they're clearly confident in their products' longevity.
