Returns

What is the return window?
All unused, unworn, unwashed, or defective merchandise can be returned within 60 days of the ship date. All sales are final after the 60-day period.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition to qualify for return.

How will I receive my refund?
The return is free when a refund in the form of a non-expiring e-gift card is selected. The e-gift card will be in the dollar amount of the returned item(s). Alternatively, a refund back to the original payment method can be chosen; however, charges may apply. Refunds will be complete within 2 weeks of the product being received at the warehouse. All refunds will be processed back to the original payment method.

Who pays for return shipping?
Free returns are offered to US customers in the 48 Contiguous states. International shoppers cannot receive return shipping labels and will be responsible for the cost of shipping orders back to the warehouse.

How do I start a return online?
You have two options to return: Free, in-person returns through Happy Returns, which is a convenient, no-hassle way for Hips & Curves customers to return online purchases. You can also visit the label printing page to print a return label. No need to notify the company, just include the packing slip inside your return.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Hips & Curves-it's kind of become this go-to spot for plus-size lingerie that actually gets it. Founded back in 2000 by Rebecca Jennings, the brand has grown into an award-winning online store specializing in playful and provocative intimate wear for women who want fashionable, fitting styles. And honestly? That's not always easy to find when you're shopping above a certain size.

The company operates purely online, which means you're browsing from home in your pajamas (no judgment here). With annual revenue hitting around $11 million in 2025, they're clearly doing something right. Their catalog runs the gamut from sweet and romantic to downright sizzling-corsets, babydolls, sleepwear, shapewear, even some steampunk and fantasy costumes if that's your vibe. Sizes typically run from 1X to 5X, so there's actual range here.

But let's talk about what makes them different. Notice how most lingerie brands kind of treat plus-size as an afterthought? Hips & Curves built their entire business around curves. They're not trying to squeeze you into something designed for a size 2. The cuts are intentional, the support is there, and yeah, you can actually feel sexy instead of like you're fighting with your clothes.

Now, the customer service situation is... mixed. Their phone line (800-220-8878) operates Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm Pacific Time, and some folks report great experiences while others have struggled to get through. There's also live chat available on the website, though reviews suggest it can be hit or miss. The company's based in Los Angeles, which explains the West Coast hours.

Here's something worth knowing: they offer a 60-day return window for unused, unworn, unwashed merchandise, and returns are free if you opt for a non-expiring e-gift card instead of a refund to your original payment method. That's actually pretty generous compared to most lingerie retailers. International customers should note that you're responsible for return shipping costs.

The brand has been around for over two decades now, which in the fast-fashion world basically makes them veterans. They've been featured in Vogue Italia and InStyle, so they've got some serious fashion cred. And they're not jumping on the "drop the plus" bandwagon-they're pretty vocal about using terms like "plus size" and "curvy" because, as they put it, that's how people actually find them.

One thing to keep in mind: shipping times can vary. Standard shipping typically takes 5-10 business days after your order ships, and they usually process orders within 1-3 business days. If you're ordering for a specific event, plan accordingly. And if you're outside the US, factor in potential customs fees-that's caught some international shoppers off guard.

Hips & Curves fills a real gap in the market. They're not perfect (what company is?), but they're genuinely trying to make plus-size women feel beautiful and confident. Sometimes that's worth more than flawless customer service.
