Belt cataclysm

Hello friends,

The last month or so has been a nice stretch of heads down time, mostly working on responses to the custom belt lineup announced in the previous newsletter, though I have managed to sneak in a little wallet time between projects.

Today I have one single solitary Westbound wallet and a couple Frank Littles in a new black & natural marbled shell cordovan (and one Frank in marbled brown). I really like this leather. It's been a lot of fun to stare at and select cuts based on the pattern of the dye. It works very well as a folded wallet like the Frank because it brings together portions of the pattern in interesting, contrasty ways. It highlights the curves, and it should age very well, with the natural darkening to caramel brown over time.

I'm hoping that you all like it as much as I do, so that I can be justified in buying more. If they happen to sell out quickly, or you'd like to see it used for another wallet style, feel free to reply with encouragement.

Aside from the shell wallets, I've reset and updated some of the buckles on the new CUSTOM BELTS page. Some of the first batch sold out, and have been removed. I hunted down a couple more of the brass and abalone inlay buckles (plus one rad turquoise inlay), since there seemed to be a lot of interest in those. Looking forward to seeing what comes through next.
