Indy Jazz Fest

What a way to end the summer. Celebrate Indy’s rich jazz heritage with a blend of international stars, modern masters, and Indy-based creators through September 20 at a variety of venues around the city. From the intimacy of the Sunset Series to the amazing Grand Finale at Everwise Amphitheater (featuring performances by Brian Culbertson, Terrence Blanchard, Judith Hill, and Nicole Henry), the festival highlights the diverse genres within jazz music infused with funk, soul, spoken word, and contemporary energy. Tickets are $15 and up.

Iowa Cubs vs. Indianapolis Indians

Closing weekend at Victory Field is the perfect end to a sensational season with the Tribe finishing second in the MiLB International League West. Through Sunday, the focus is on fan appreciation with fireworks on two nights, free swag, and America's pastime. Come for Thirsty Thursday, Bark in the Park, First Responders Night, Game Night with Marc Summers, and Kids Eat Free Sunday, as well as foam finger, scratch-off card, Pirates mystery card set, and Knot Hole Kids Club giveaways. Tickets are $15 and up.

Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts

Last weekend the Colts kicked off the season with a bang and the stellar debut of QB Daniel Jones. This Sunday's match at Lucas Oil Stadium against Denver is a "White Out" with the team wearing white-on-white uniforms. Fans are encouraged to dress the same. Halftime entertainment is the popular Mascots vs. PeeWees showdown, and the Colts will pay tribute to Forrest Lucas, the founder of Lucas Oil Products, who passed away last month. Tickets are $73 and up.

Miami Cereal Cinema at the Athenaeum - Matilda vs. Indianapolis Colts
Saturday mornings were made for a tasty bowl of cereal and a fun family movie. Catch Matilda this weekend to see the cinematic adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic story of a child prodigy who develops psychokinetic skills to deal with the baddies in her life like her neglectful parents and the child-hating principal of her school. Tickets are $8.15 and include unlimited cereal. Parents can purchase coffee.

STEM Exploration Day

This isn't humdrum science in a book. Saturday is a day of full-on adventuring and learning by doing at The Children's Museum. Families get hands-on experiences led by experts in STEM fields like engineering, paleontology, chemistry, forensics, robotics, coding, physics, and more. There's a special spotlight on girl power as professional women share about representation and empowerment. All events are included with general admission of $23 and up.
