Released in a limited edition of 1,500 pieces, this all-black execution of the iconic chronograph combines a Ceratanium® case with a black dial and a black textured rubber strap. Engineered under extreme heat.

The Portugieser Chronograph Ceratanium® marks the first time IWC has used this advanced material in the Portugieser collection. Developed by IWC’s engineering division XPL, Ceratanium® combines the striking advantages of titanium and ceramic – two materials that have shaped IWC’s history. The components are machined from a special titanium alloy and fired at high temperatures in a kiln. During this process, the surface acquires properties similar to ceramic, such as extreme hardness and scratch resistance, as well as its distinctive dark, metallic finish.
