BIG THANKS !  To all who came out to the Joshua Tree Music Festival this past weekend.  For bringing such abundance of warmth, kindness, joy and love.  To the skillfully audacious arists who made us dance smile, weep and howl. For the hugs. To the hundreds of crew and volunteers who went above and beyond to make it all happen with energetic grace. And for the amazing outpouring of compassion and support. We love you. Here's to hoping you make plans to gather with us again next year: May 15-18 and October 9-12.

As many of you know, we lost one of ours early Sunday morning at the festival. Julia Wynne was attending the festival for the first time from Seattle as a guest and best friend of one of our key staff. Shortly after midnight on Saturday night, Julia became unresponsive. Life saving measures were happening moments later, and continued until she arrived with EMS at the hospital. The cause for Julia's passing is uncertain at this time, as we await a determination from the medical examiner.

Julia was a mom, sister, friend, and beloved daughter, with a large extended family of loved ones in her hometown of Lansdale, PA. She leaves behind a two-and-a-half-year-old son. Many of us only knew her as camp-mates for the past few days, but we were all smitten, as she was a bright, shiny light. Her family and friends shared that she’s the type of human who was loved by all. Someone that made each interaction feel special. A kind person with a hilarious sense of humor and silliness. She blessed so many with her presence up until the moment of her passing.

Many of us are profoundly impacted by Julia’s passing. We will continue to have resources available (grief counselors) for as long as may be needed. We hope that you can lean into friends and/or family during this time. Email us at: [email protected] for grief counselor contacts.

What's UP with Music Festivals ? - This year, 100's of music festivals cancelled, postponed, or have permanently called it at a day. Soaring production costs, a crowded market, and the cost of getting by these days have created the perfect storm. That said - now, more than ever - we the people need to gather, commune, celebrate, hug, cry, love, and connect. On a real, deep, analog kinda level. So while the financial struggles of producing the festivals are a constant challenge, we are more excited than ever about JTMF in 2025. We'll continue creating a loving place for artists on the rise, for folks to come and be themselves with family and friends of all ages, and to re-humanize. And we will strive to offer as much as we can for as reasonable a ticket price as possible. How can you help ?  If you know you are coming, we so appreciate you buying your tickets in advance, and for telling all your friends and fam about the JTMF experience. Can't wait to dance amongst the oasis of smiling faces in May !
