JTMF Global Sounds: Music Without Borders

One of the things that makes Joshua Tree Music Festival so special is our global heartbeat. This October, we’re proud to welcome artists from around the world who bring deep traditions, bold innovation, and boundary-blurring sound to the desert.

Here are just a few international highlights lighting up the fall lineup:
 

🎤 Farah Siraj (Jordan)
Called the “Norah Jones of the Middle East,” Farah weaves jazz, flamenco, Arabic folk, and pop into soaring songs of unity, sung in Arabic, Spanish, and English.

🎧 Zar Electrik (France/North Africa)
Futuristic electro-gnawa with North African roots and a Marseille twist. Think analog synths, deep guembri basslines, and hypnotic grooves that pull you into the dance.

🥁 Jembaa Groove (Germany/Ghana)
Berlin-meets-Accra soul fusion. With highlife horns, Afrobeat rhythms, and warm conscious energy, this cross-cultural collective brings the groove and then some.

Calling Women & Gender-Expansive Music Creatives:
Keychange U.S. Applications Are Now Open!

The Keychange U.S. Talent Development Program is now accepting applications for its 2025–2026 cohort and we’re proud to share that Joshua Tree Music Festival will once again welcome three Keychange artists to our stage this October! 

This six-month program is a unique opportunity for women and gender-expansive artists and music industry professionals across all genres and sectors. It offers mentorship, skill-building, community, and real-world visibility at top-tier events and festivals.

📌 Program Details:

• 🗓 Runs from November 2025 to March 2026

• 🌆 For creatives in LA, NYC, Nashville, Austin, Atlanta, and Chicago

• 🌱 Includes virtual sessions, in-person meetups, mentorship, showcases & speaking opportunities

📝 Application Window:

• Opens: Friday, June 20, 2025

• Closes: Thursday, July 31, 2025

The Keychange program is all about creating equity and visibility in the music industry and JTMF is honored to continue this collaboration by featuring three of the selected artists on our October 9–12, 2025 lineup.
