Editor's Take

Juicy Couture isn't just a brand-it's basically a cultural phenomenon that refuses to stay buried. And honestly? That's exactly what makes it so fascinating.

You probably remember the velour tracksuit craze of the early 2000s. Madonna got a custom one in 2001, and suddenly everyone from Britney Spears to Paris Hilton was living in these things. But here's what's wild: TikTok has brought them roaring back, with Gen Z rap artists like Sexyy Red and Latto making them hot again.

Founded in 1997 by best friends Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor in Arleta, Los Angeles, the brand started with a simple philosophy: "casual luxury" - really amazing clothes that you could wear every day. That's still their sweet spot, honestly.

What's interesting is how they've evolved beyond just tracksuits. Today they're a global phenomenon offering everything from handbags and shoes to intimates, swimwear, fragrance, accessories, and jewelry. Their current lineup includes those iconic OG Big Bling Tracksuits, plus jewelry, fragrance, makeup bags, home decor, and even pet accessories.

The brand's signature is unmistakable: two highland terriers holding a shield with three hearts and "Love P&G" (for Pamela and Gela), topped with a crown and flowing Juicy Couture banner. It's maximalist in the best way-unapologetically girly and glamorous.

With approximately 200 stores and outlets across 60 countries, they've managed to maintain that LA attitude globally. They describe themselves as "glamorous, irreverent, and fun" for the "decidedly fashionable," bringing LA style and attitude to girls worldwide.

So whether you're team nostalgia or discovering Juicy for the first time, there's something undeniably magnetic about a brand that turned velour into a luxury statement-and somehow made it stick around for over two decades.
