Hey there,

I have been training through July for decades.

Some of those years the gym was air-conditioned.

Most of them weren't.

Somewhere in those summers, I noticed something: most people use the heat as the reason to pull back.

The empty gym in August proves it every year.

July is the mid-year test most athletes don't treat seriously enough.

You're six months into whatever you committed to in January.

The results are either showing up or they're not, and you already know which one it is.

What happens between now and September comes down to whether you train through the heat or decide it's a reason to coast.

The JYM Army trains through it.

I see this every summer from people who have been following the same protocols for years.

Actual consistency through July is what separates the people who hit their goal in October from the ones still trying to find their rhythm in November.

That doesn't mean doing more for the sake of doing more.

It means keeping the pieces that support your training locked in: the program, the nutrition, the recovery, and the stack.

If your protocol has started to slip, this is the time to tighten it back up.
