Congratulations to Johanna for winning the December 2025 Designer Challenge Giveaway. Because Johanna answered the bonus question the prize was doubled to $50 in website credit.

Such a great card and not too complicated to do either. Love the way you did the wording on the window. My favourite carol is Silent Night. I would also use something from the Blues Brothers as inspiration for a card.

Each month Tanya chooses one of our pop-up die sets to feature in a kit. She will create a basic pop-up card inspired by the packaging photo. The kit will include the main pop-up die (plus any other we include!) used in the card, plus all the required papers. If the card features die cut pieces from other sets those pieces will be pre-cut in the card kit. Any pieces from the included die will be cut by you, the student, following the included instructions and cut sheet. Complete the prep work prior to the live virtual event and then craft along with Tanya during the event. If you can’t make the live event you’ll be able to catch the replay.

During the live event Tanya will teach the basic mechanism while creating her “take” on the die set by adding embellishments and/or changing the papers. It’s the best of both worlds - an introductory card to learn the die set and thenTanya’s Takeon an amped-up version!

For this month's kit, Tanya is featuring the fireplace in a cozy little Home Sweet Home card. The kit will include the "Welcome Home" lettering but it is optional to use it. Need alternate theme ides for your card? The Fireplace Pop-up was featured in Designer Challenge 64, where the team showed ideas for using the Fireplace for every month of the year.

There is still time to get a kit for our January Zoom class! Even if your kit doesn't arrive in time for the live class you can attend the Zoom session to ask any questions and then complete the cards later by watching the replay. Remember, Zoom class day videos are never made public, even after kits are sold out, so if you're interested in these cards and techniques (the pine cone wiggle card is particularly fun) you'll want to purchase a kit.
