Memorial Day marks the start of summer, the season of long days, long runs, road trips, freshly cut grass, backyard BBQs with kids running through sprinklers — small joys that exist because of large sacrifices.
I encourage us all to take a moment of gratitude today, for the generations of soldiers who gave their lives for the US, our allies, and the freedoms we enjoy.
We don't honor sacrifice by sitting still. We get out there. We take our shot. We live with agency, meaning, and integrity.
