Returns
What is the return window?
The return window is 60 days from the purchase date. Your receipt image must include the retail store name, purchase date within the past 60 days, and the purchase price of the individual toy.
Do I need a receipt to return an item?
Unfortunately, KONG cannot accept a copy of a credit card statement as it does not include the details of the purchase. Even if the KONG product was received as a gift, a receipt is still a must.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Accessory items like a bed, crate, collar, leash, harness, crate pad, tactical vest, etc. are manufactured by KONG's Trusted Licensee Partners and are not included in the 60 Day Satisfaction Guarantee Program. Because KONG is unable to control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, the KONG 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee is not available for products purchased from unauthorized sellers.
How will I receive my refund?
The KONG satisfaction guarantee offers both replacement and refund options for consumers in the United States and KONG provides refunds for Canadian consumers. For Canadian residents, please be sure and provide your full first and last name as well as your complete mailing address for your refund check to be processed.
Who pays for return shipping?
Please note that you are responsible for costs incurred in mailing your product and proof of purchase. KONG will not be liable for lost in-bound packages, so KONG suggests sending your item via an insured, traceable means, such as UPS, FedEx, or insured mail.
Editor's Take
You know that iconic red rubber toy shaped kind of like a snowman that every dog owner has stuffed in a drawer somewhere? That's KONG. And honestly, the story behind it is way cooler than you'd think.
So back in 1976, this guy Joe Markham had a German Shepherd named Fritz who was absolutely obsessed with chewing rocks. Like, seriously problematic rock-eating. One day while working on a VW bus, Joe tossed Fritz a rubber suspension part-and boom, Fritz was in love. That random moment turned into what's now the gold standard of dog toys, with more than 50 million sold worldwide.
Here's what makes KONG different: their rubber products are still made at their World Headquarters in Golden, Colorado-the same building they've been manufacturing in since the beginning. In an era when everything's outsourced, that's actually pretty remarkable. They're using the highest quality natural rubber, and they've built an entire philosophy around the idea that dogs need to play. Not just want to-need to.
The genius of the KONG Classic is its simplicity. It's durable enough for power chewers, bounces unpredictably (which dogs go nuts for), and you can stuff it with treats to keep your pup occupied. A frozen, treat-stuffed Kong can occupy a dog for up to 40 minutes. For anyone who's dealt with a bored, destructive dog, that's basically magic.
But KONG isn't just about that one iconic toy anymore. They've expanded into a whole ecosystem of products-different rubber strengths for puppies, seniors, and extreme chewers, plus grooming tools, cat toys, and treats. They've even done wild marketing stunts like launching a KONG-shaped hot air balloon and putting an animated pup on the Vegas Sphere.
What's really interesting is their commitment to animal welfare. KONG is actively supporting shelters around the world with every purchase. They've partnered with organizations to get toys into shelter kennels, which actually helps dogs get adopted faster by reducing stress and boredom.
The company's been around for nearly 50 years now, and they're still family-focused and pet-obsessed. They've got around 180-200 employees, generate somewhere in the $23-35 million revenue range, and they're still innovating. Not bad for a company that started because a dog wouldn't stop eating rocks.
