Twenty years ago, when we opened our first lab on Elizabeth Street in New York City’s Nolita neighborhood, we sought to return to perfumery’s roots, hand-blending fragrances to order and creating space for the kind of self-discovery that can only emerge when we dial down the noise and listen. 
 
Le Labo: The Essence of Slow Perfumery by Deborah Royer, Creative Director of Le Labo, is a celebration of our journey — a collection of personal essays, musings, photographs, and intimate reflections that distill the learnings and values at the heart of Le Labo.
