Editor's Take

Life Boost Coffee isn't your typical coffee company-and honestly, that's exactly what makes it fascinating. Founded by Dr. Charles Livingston, it's the only doctor-crafted coffee company, which already sets it apart from the crowded specialty coffee market.

But here's where it gets interesting. Their TrustPure process ensures that Lifeboost coffee is free from over 450 toxins and that their beans are grown and roasted to lower acid levels to minimize digestive discomfort. That's not just marketing speak-they're actually third-party testing for mycotoxins, heavy metals, pesticides, and hundreds of other potential nasties that can lurk in your morning cup.

The health angle runs deep here. They have over 100 "Ambassadors of Health"-a program of doctors and medical professionals who provide testimony for health benefits of Lifeboost coffee. And they've been featured in 75 health journals and podcasts, which suggests this isn't just a gimmick.

What really caught my attention is their approach to sourcing. They start by planting beans in shade at high elevation, maximizing flavor and antioxidants while reducing acidity and mold growth. Then beans are hand-picked, sun dried, and tested for over 450 toxins to guarantee safety. That's an impressive level of quality control for a coffee company.

The low-acid angle is particularly compelling. Coffee is usually very acidic, but not Lifeboost Coffee. I've tested it with a pH meter. So it's absolutely true that it's not acidic. I got a 6.5 on my meter. That is just slightly below 7.0 pH. 7.0 pH is neutral, according to one customer review. For people with sensitive stomachs or acid reflux, this could be a game-changer.

Over 60 million cups enjoyed suggests they've built a substantial customer base, and their 30-day money back guarantee shows confidence in their product. The pricing reflects the premium positioning-12-ounce bags typically range from $27.95 to over $30, with cost per ounce generally falling between $2.33 and $3.53.

What's particularly smart is their subscription model, where customers can save up to 42% by choosing the subscription model. This creates recurring revenue while making the premium pricing more palatable for regular customers.

The company has shown impressive growth, breaking onto Inc. magazine's Inc. 5000 list at No. 271 in 2020, climbing to No. 80 in 2021, and reaching No. 29 nationwide (and No. 1 in the Midwest region) in 2022.

Life Boost Coffee represents an interesting evolution in the specialty coffee space-where health consciousness meets premium quality. Whether the premium pricing is justified depends on how much you value the extensive testing and health-focused approach, but they've clearly found their niche in the market.
