LOFT offers a 30-day return window for most items from the purchase date. Items purchased between November 18, 2023, and December 24, 2023, can be returned through January 31, 2024 (extended holiday return period).
Do I need a receipt to return an item?
Returns with a receipt within 30 days are refunded to the original payment method. Returns after 30 days, or those without a receipt, receive merchandise credit for the current selling price.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Some items are exceptions, including those from the Swim, Brands We Love, and Intimates by Haven Well Within collections. Merchandise marked final sale cannot be returned, exchanged, or adjusted.
How will I receive my refund?
The refund will be credited for the price paid, using the original form of payment. Merchandise credit issued online is sent as an e-gift certificate via email.
Can I return online purchases in-store?
You can return or exchange unworn, unwashed, and defective merchandise by mail or at any LOFT store. However, items bought at LOFT store can be returned to any LOFT store (but not LOFT Outlet, Ann Taylor, or Factory stores).

So here's the thing about LOFT-it's kind of become that friend who just gets it. You know the one. The brand launched back in 1996 as Ann Taylor Loft, basically the cooler, more relaxed younger sister to Ann Taylor. And honestly? That positioning stuck.
What makes LOFT interesting is how they've carved out this sweet spot in women's fashion. They're not trying to be high-end luxury, but they're also not fast fashion disposable. LOFT creates modern, feminine and versatile clothing for a wide range of women, which sounds like marketing speak until you actually walk into one of their 500+ stores. The clothes just work-for the office, for weekend brunch, for that thing where you need to look put-together but not like you're trying too hard.
Here's what's clever: they've built an entire ecosystem around making shopping easier. LOFT offers expanded size collections such as petite, tall, maternity and swim. Notice how most retailers make you hunt for petite sizing like it's a treasure map? LOFT just puts it right there. Same with their maternity line, which they've been doing since 2007.
The pricing strategy is interesting too. LOFT runs sales constantly-and I mean constantly. If you're paying full price, you're basically doing it wrong. Their sale section is legendary among regular shoppers, with discounts often hitting 40-60% off. It's become part of the brand identity at this point.
But what really sets them apart is the vibe. Walk into a LOFT store and the associates actually seem happy to be there. They've built this always-inviting, feel-good LOFT community that extends from employees to customers. It's not stuffy like traditional workwear retailers, but it's not chaotic like some fast fashion spots either.
The fit is where they've really invested. Their pants have a cult following-seriously, check any fashion forum. They've figured out how to make trousers that work for actual human bodies, not just mannequins. Same with their dresses and tops. Everything's designed with this modern feminine aesthetic that translates to: you'll look polished without feeling like you're wearing a costume.
And they've adapted pretty well to the whole digital thing. Their website is solid, they've got a decent app, and their return policy is reasonable (30 days with receipt). Plus, they've embraced the loyalty program game with their styleREWARDS program, which actually offers decent perks if you shop there regularly.
